Dancers in NW Ohio and SE Michigan are invited to audition for the cast of Masha & the Nutcracker. This is the 3rd Annual performance of the classical ballet production. Performances will be held in December 2022. Theater performance weekend is December 16th-17th, 2022.
Schedule
9-10am: Ages: 5-7
10-11:30am: Age: 11-13
12:30-2:00: Ages 16+
2:00-3:30pm: Ages 14-15
3:30-5:00: Agues 8-10

Younger dancers will have opportunities to be cast in roles without an audition. Please contact us if your younger student is interested in participating.
Dancers who do not study dance at Black Swamp Fine Arts School must ensure that their home studio is in favor of them participating in Masha & the Nutcracker. They should not audition if they are breaking any contracts or commitments with their home studio.
All dancers who are cast in roles are required to maintain consistent attendance in their dance training during the summer and fall in order to stay in dancing shape!
The mandatory choreophy intensive is the August 1st-6th.
Rehearsals occur on Fridays & Saturdays and are mandatory.
For the most part, not all dancers will be required for the extent of the rehearsal hours until close to the performance. These are merely the hours during which rehearsals will be scheduled.
Friday rehearsals are typically between 6:00-8:00.
Saturday rehearsals are typically between 8:00-2:00.
Rehearsals on the weekends occur once during August, twice during September, every weekend in October, every weekend except for Thanksgiving weekend in November, and the weekends in December leading up to the performance.
All cast members will be required to agree and abide by the cast handbook to ensue regarding a positive and productive enviroment for all!
Financial commitment includes choreography intensive fee, tickets to watch performance, possible requirement to purchase tights or role-specific shoes or makeup.
